2022 Polestar 2 Rear seat
Adjusting the rear seat head restraints
The center head restraint should be adjusted to suit the passenger’s height. The entire back of the head should be covered if possible. Manually move the restraint up as needed.
To lower the restraint, push and hold the button (see illustration) while carefully lowering the head restraint.
The center head restraint should be in its lowest position when the center seat is not in use. When the center seat is in use, the head restraint should be correctly adjusted to the passenger’s height, covering the entire back of the head if possible.
Folding down the rear seat backrest
- Adjust the seat and ensure it locks into position before driving. Use caution when adjusting the seat. Uncontrolled or careless adjustments could lead to injuries.
- Always secure long cargo properly to avoid damage or injury in the event of hard braking.
- Apply the parking brake and always turn off the vehicle (either by exiting the vehicle or manually via the center display) when getting in and out of the vehicle.
- Put the gear selector in P to help prevent the gear selector from being moved accidentally.
Make sure there are no other objects on the rear seat before folding the backrest down. Also, make sure the seat belts are not buckled. The rear seat upholstery could otherwise be damaged.
Fold up the armrest* in the center seating position before folding down the seat.
Close the ski hatch in the rear seat before folding down the backrest.
To fold down the rear seat backrests completely, the front seats may need to be moved forward and/or their backrests adjusted.
Make sure that the rear seat is unoccupied and that there are no objects on the seat.
- Fold-down the center seat’s head restraint manually.
- Pull up the handle on the left or right rear seat backrest to fold down that section of the rear seat.
- The backrest lock will release and the backrest can now be manually lowered to its horizontal position.
Raise the backrest to its vertical position manually:
- Move the backrest up/back.
- Press the backrest back until it locks into place.
- Adjust the center head restraint as needed.
When the backrest is folded back, the red indicator light will go out. If it remains lit, the backrest has not locked back into place.
Make sure that the rear seat backrest and head restraint lock are correctly back into place after folding up.
Rear seat
Make sure that children up to 12 years of age are properly restrained in the rear seat in a child seat, booster seat, or seat belt, depending on what is appropriate for their weight, height, and age.
Ski hatch in a rear seat
- In the cargo compartment, grasp the ski hatch handle and pull it down.
- Fold-down the armrest in the rear seat.
- Move the center seat head restraint up so that the steel tubes do not block the opening.
If the private locking function is used, the ski hatch must be closed.
