The functions are available via the Polestar app and the CONNECT and SOS buttons in the vehicle’s ceiling console:
In the event of an accident, emergency assistance (ambulance, police, etc.) can be summoned to the vehicle. In less critical situations, e.g. a flat tire, roadside assistance can be called out.
You can use the Polestar app to, for example, lock or unlock the vehicle and check the battery level.
The SOS button must only be used in the event of accident, illness or an external threat against the vehicle and its passengers. The SOS function is only intended for emergency situations. Misuse could incur extra charges.
The Polestar app and the CONNECT button can be used for all other services, including roadside assistance.
The Polestar Connect system
Polestar Connect is connected to the vehicle’s safety and alarm systems and to other systems in the vehicle, such as lock and climate systems. The vehicle has an integrated modem for communication with Polestar Assistance and the Polestar app. GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) is used to locate the vehicle.
This Polestar is equipped with the Polestar Connect service. This means that no extra subscription is required for it to work. The intention is that the service will be active as long as the vehicle is used and the technology and cellular phone network allow. Polestar reserves the right to reduce the service when it is no longer practically possible to maintain full functionality. If the vehicle has not been used for more than a year, it is considered to be no longer in use.
Personal data processing
In order to provide you with all the functions of the Polestar Connect service, certain information, including personal data, must be processed. Read more about privacy at polestar.com/privacy.
Contacting Polestar Assistance
To contact Polestar Assistance, use the vehicle’s CONNECT button or the Polestar app.
Polestar Connect subscription
Status of subscription
A three-year subscription is included with the purchase of a new vehicle. Contact Polestar Customer Support if you would like to extend the subscription or for information about the expiry date. You then need to provide the vehicle identification number.
Roadside assistance costs
Roadside Assistance costs are included for the first 3 years after purchase of a new Polestar. Once this time has passed, free roadside assistance is offered on most markets if the vehicle is serviced regularly. Polestar Customer Support can inform you of the status of your roadside assistance agreement.
Polestar Connect can help you get back on the road, even if your Roadside Assistance agreement has expired. If this is the case, you will be asked to pay the cost for the service that is sent out to you.
If you do not have a valid road assistance agreement, additional recovery costs may apply.
