In the upper front section of the right-side door

WARNING

Individuals with an implanted pacemaker should not allow the pacemaker to come within 22 cm (9 in.) of the Keyless system antennas. The aim of this is to prevent disturbances between the pacemaker and the Keyless system.

Keyless door locking and unlocking

With keyless unlocking, the doors can be opened by pressing the door handle.
NOTE

One of the vehicle’s keys or your phone must be within range for locking and unlocking to be possible.

Door handle

To unlock, press the marked button on the vehicle’s door handle. The handle will be extended and the door can be opened. The vehicle is locked when the handle is pushed in.

  1. Push button for unlocking
  2. Pressure area for locking
NOTE

Please be aware that the system could be activated in a car wash if the key is within range.

Automatic relocking

If none of the doors are opened within two minutes after being unlocked, they will automatically relock. This function reduces the risk of inadvertently leaving the vehicle unlocked.

Keyless locking and unlocking

With the keyless locking and unlocking function, the key or phone only needs to be within range, e.g. in your hand or pocket, in order to unlock the doors and trunk lid. The vehicle can be locked or unlocked by pressing the handle. The trunk lid can be unlocked by making a kicking motion behind the left-side rear tire.
NOTE

Be aware of the risk of locking your key or phone in the trunk when closing the lid.

NOTE

Please be aware that the system could be activated in a car wash if the key is within range.

Keyless unlock settings

Several different sequences are available for keyless unlocking.

To change this setting:

  • Tap Settings in the center display’s Top view.
  • Tap My CarLockingKeyless Unlock
  • Select alternative:
    • All Doors – unlocks all doors at the same time.
    • Single Door – unlocks the selected door.

Keyless unlocking of the trunk lid using a foot movement

With keyless unlocking, the trunk can be opened by moving your foot to the side of the left-hand rear tire.
NOTE

One of the vehicle’s keys or your phone must be within range for locking and unlocking to be possible.

The sensor is located behind the left-side rear tire.
One of the vehicle’s keys must be within range behind the vehicle, approx. 1 meter (3 feet), for opening to be possible. This applies even if the vehicle is unlocked in order to prevent the trunk lid from inadvertently opening e.g. at a car wash.

Opening using a foot movement

Kicking motion within the sensor’s activation area.

  • Make one forward kick movement on the side of the left-hand rear tire. Take a step back.

> A brief audible signal will sound when opening is activated – the trunk lid will open/close.

If several opening or closing attempts have been made without the key in range behind the vehicle, foot movement operation will not be available for a short period of time.

Do not keep your foot under the vehicle in a kicking motion. This may prevent activation.

Closing the trunk lid

The trunk lid can be closed by manually pushing it down.

NOTE

There is a risk of reduced or lost function if there are large amounts of snow, ice, dirt, etc. on the left-hand rear bumper. Make sure to keep the bumper clean.

NOTE

Please note that the system could be inadvertently activated in a car wash or similar if the key is within range.

WARNING

Do not drive with the trunk lid open. Toxic exhaust fumes can be sucked into the vehicle through the trunk.
