2023 Land Rover NEW RANGE ROVER TOUCHSCREEN SETTINGS

TOUCHSCREEN DISPLAY SETTINGS

WARNING

QUICK SETTINGS
The quick menu screen gives the option to alter the settings of the touchscreen visibility theme, brightness and screen on/off.
  1. Touch the settings icon¹ from any screen.
  2. Touch the QUICK soft key.

The following quick menu screen feature options can be enabled, disabled, or adjusted:

  • Brightness soft key: Touch the slider bar and drag left or right to adjust the backlight setting of the touchscreen display.
  • Screen off soft key: Touch to power off the touchscreen.
  • Light theme, Dark theme, or Auto theme soft key: Touching the relevant soft key should change the display to that setting.
    NOTES
    The screen remains in the selected mode, irrespective of the time of day.

HOME SCREEN SETTINGS:
The home screen settings gives the option for the default home screen display to be either app tiles or app icons.
  1. Touch the settings icon¹ of the default home screen.
  2. Touch the Home Screen soft key.
  3. Select either App Tiles or App Icons as the default home screen display.

If App Tiles is the default home screen selection, a minimum of two, and up to, a maximum of nine tiles can be displayed.

  1. Touch the settings icon¹ of the default home screen.
  2. Touch the Home Screen soft key.
  3. Touch the Edit layout soft key.
  4. Touch and drag the desired app icon from the icon carousel to an empty home screen tile.
    NOTES
    The Navigation, Phone and Media tiles are default tiles but are also able to be edited.

SYSTEM SETTINGS

System settings allows for the adjustment of the selected features settings.

  1. Touch the settings icon¹ from any screen.
  2. Touch the ALL soft key.

The ALL settings menu is divided into categories:

  • Profiles.
  • Connectivity.
  • Vehicle.
  • General.
  • Languages and keyboards.
  • Apps.
  • Notifications.
  • Volume Settings.
  • Software Updates.

Touch to display the list of settings for the required system.

NOTES
The list varies, depending on the specification of the vehicle.

LANGUAGE AND KEYBOARD SETTINGS

Languages and keyboard settings can be customized.

To customize the Languages and keyboard settings:

  1. Touch the settings icon¹ from any screen.
  2. Touch the ALL soft key.
  3. Touch Languages and keyboards.

To change the system Languages:

  1. Touch the displayed language box below System language.
  2. Select the required language.
  3. Touch the back icon² after selection.

To change the language box on Keyboards:

  1. Touch the displayed language box below Keyboards.
  2. Select the required language.
    NOTES
    A maximum of four languages can be selected and stored.
  3. Touch the back icon² after selection.

Keyboard Clicks can be toggled on or off.

VOLUME SETTINGS

The option to enable or disable the recommended volume limit of paired headphones can be set via Headphone Volume Limit in Volume settings.

To access the Volume settings:

  1. Touch the settings icon¹ from any screen.
  2. Touch the ALL soft key.
  3. Touch Volume Settings.
  4. Touch Headphone Volume Limit.
  5. Limits headphones to recommended volume: Toggle on or off.
  6. Touch the exit icon² after selection.

PROFILE SETTINGS

EXISTING PROFILE SETTINGS
Profiles gives the option to delete existing profiles or amend the detail of stored profiles.

To access the Profile settings:

  1. Touch the settings icon¹ from any screen.
  2. Touch the ALL soft key.
  3. Touch Profiles.

Delete a profile:

  1. Touch the forward arrow to open the option to Delete all profiles.
  2. Touch the exit icon² after selection.

Edit a profile:

  1. Touch the forward arrow of the existing profile to be edited.
  2. Follow the on-screen options to edit or remove the profile.
  3. Touch the exit icon² after selection.

ADD A PROFILE ACCOUNT:
  1. Touch ACCOUNTS in the apps screen. See APPS SCREEN.
  2. Touch Create Profile.
  3. Follow the profile creation option steps.
  4. Touch the Home icon³ to return to the home screen.

GENERAL SETTINGS

Accessing the touchscreen settings allows the adjustment of general system settings.

To access the General settings:

  1. Touch the settings icon¹ from any screen.
  2. Touch the ALL soft key.
  3. Touch General.

The General settings menu is divided into categories:

  • Voice Settings.
  • Display.
  • Master PIN.
    NOTES
    Change the valet mode Master PIN to a personal PIN as soon as possible.
  • Time and Date.
  • Rear Seat Entertainment.
  • System restore.
  • Legal information.
  • Rear Armrest Screen.
  • Open Source License.

Touch to display the list of settings for the required system.

TOUCHSCREEN HAPTIC SETTINGS

WARNING

NOTES
The touch contact pressure required on the touchscreen is determined by the haptic feedback setting being enabled or disabled.

Haptic feedback is the use of touch to communicate with users. If the option is enabled, upon touch of the touchscreen the user will feel a vibration and hear an audible sound.

To enable or disable the Haptic Feedback options:

  1. Touch the settings icon¹ from any screen.
  2. Touch the ALL soft key.
  3. Touch General.
  4. Touch Display.
  5. Scroll to Haptic Feedback: Toggle on or off.
    NOTES
    The factory default option is set to off.

Touch the exit icon² to return to the previously displayed screen.

NOTIFICATIONS SETTINGS

Notifications settings gives the options to allow and manage notifications.

To access the Notifications settings:

  1. Touch the settings icon¹ from any screen.
  2. Touch the ALL soft key.
  3. Touch Notifications.

Allow Notifications: Toggle on or off.

Manage Notifications:

  1. Touch the forward arrow to view all available settings options.
  2. Touch the back icon² after selection.

CUSTOMIZABLE BUTTON SETTINGS

WARNING

The audio steering wheel control switch has a favorites button which can be customized. See AUDIO STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS.

To access the favorite button settings:

  1. Touch the settings icon¹ from any screen.
  2. Touch the ALL soft key.
  3. Touch Apps.
  4. Touch Favorite Button.
  5. Select from the two customizable steering wheel button options:

    Short press.

    Long press.

    NOTES
    The button options are set to a None Selected factory default setting until an alternative favorite has been selected.
  6. Touch the forward arrow in the box below Short press or Long press to open the options menu.
  7. Select a favorite option from the menu:

    Cancel guidance.

    Next source.

    Mute.

    Play/pause.

    Redial.

    Voicemail.

    Mute phone.

    Hold.

    Upper screen off.

    Traffic alerts.

    Cycle Cluster Layout.

Touch the exit icon² to return to the previously displayed screen.

A corresponding short press or long press of the steering wheel favorite button operates the stored feature. See AUDIO STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS.

SYSTEM RESET

WARNING

If the touchscreen functions fail to operate correctly, i.e., after a software update, a system reset can be performed.

To perform a System reset:

  1. Select Park (P).
  2. Hold the media power button down. See MEDIA CONTROLS.
  3. Continue to hold the media power button down, until the touchscreen goes blank, followed by the brand logo screen being displayed.
  4. Release the media power button.
  5. The greetings start-up screen is then displayed indicating the system reset is complete.
