FRONT CLIMATE CONTROL

WARNING
In the interest of safety, only operate or adjust the system when it is safe to do so. Driver distraction can lead to accidents, potentially causing serious injury or death.
WARNING
Do not adjust the touchscreen controls, or allow the system to distract the driver, while the vehicle is moving. Driver distraction can lead to accidents, causing serious injury or death.

Make primary climate adjustments as follows:

  1. Seats key: Touch to access seat heating, cooling and massage functions. See SEAT COMFORT AND ADJUSTMENT.
  2. AUTO mode: Press to switch automatic mode on or off for the left side occupant.
    NOTES
AUTO mode is the recommended normal operating mode. In AUTO mode, the system regulates cabin climate based on feedback from the vehicle’s sensors, helping maintain a stable and comfortable cabin environment.
    NOTES
When a climate setting is adjusted manually, the system exits full AUTO mode. Manual adjustments override automatic climate adjustment and deliver only the selected settings.
  3. Sync: Select to synchronize the front passenger and rear passengers climate settings to the driver’s settings.
  4. AUTO mode: Press to switch automatic mode on or off for the right side occupant.
  5. Climate control key: Touch to access the CLIMATE touchscreen menu.
  6. Recirculation key: Select to recirculate air inside the vehicle.

Press briefly to select timed recirculation. Timed recirculation switches off automatically after a set time, dependent on the ambient temperature.

Press and hold to select latched recirculation.

    NOTES
Prolonged use of the recirculation function at low temperatures may cause the windows to mist.
  7. Heated rear screen key: Demists and defrosts the rear screen. Press to switch on or off. If left on, it deactivates after a timed period, dependent on the outside temperature.
  8. MAX A/C key: Press to switch the maximum A/C mode on or off. MAX A/C adjusts settings for rapid cabin cooling.
  9. Heated windshield button: Press to switch on or off. If left on, it deactivates after a timed period, dependent on the outside temperature.
  10. A/C button: Press to switch the Air Conditioning (A/C) system on or off. The A/C system can be switched on or off independently of the other climate control functions.
  11. Max defrost: Press to switch maximum defrost for the windshield on or off. The system directs dried air at the windshield for rapid windshield defrosting.
  12. Rotary control: Press to switch between cabin and seat temperature. Rotate to adjust the temperature.
    NOTES
Depending on vehicle specification, the rotary controls may also be used to adjust blower speed.
  13. Rotary control display. The center of the rotary control displays the current requested temperature.
NOTES
Some of the keys have an LED indicator lamp that illuminates to confirm selection.
NOTES
If the climate control system is switched off, pressing an AUTO button or the demist button switches the climate control system on.
NOTES
Water expelled by the A/C system may collect underneath the vehicle when parked. This is not a cause for concern.

  1. Purify: When Purify is enabled, the system automatically reduces allergens and particulates at and below 2.5 microns, harmful gases and odors within the cabin. Enabling Purify also activates the air quality sensor system which stops polluted air from entering the cabin.
  2. CO2: The CO2 management feature ensures CO2 does not build up in the cabin. The CO2 management feature monitors the concentration of carbon dioxide gas in the cabin and selectively opens the recirculation door to let in fresh air to return balance to the cabin air environment. Controlling the CO2 in the cabin reduces the risk of driver drowsiness. The CO2 feature is represented by the white arrows on the vehicle graphic. The white arrows animate when the system is actively balancing the cabin environment.
  3. Ion: When activated, the Ion feature creates OH radicals to purify the air in-vehicle. The Ion feature is represented by the blue dots on the vehicle graphic .
  4. Exterior AQI: Launches Air Quality Index (AQI) app. AQI app data is received from an air quality data provider and gives a detailed view of the air quality for the current location. Alternatively the AQI app can display air quality data for a destination that is set in the navigation system or for user-searched locations.
    NOTES
A data subscription is required to access AQI data.
    NOTES
The AQI app is not available in all markets.
    NOTES
The performance of the Exterior AQI feature is dependent on the availability of data from the nearest monitoring station.
  5. Information: Further information about air quality features and capabilities.
  6. The interior particulate matter concentration. Ranges from green (good) to red (hazardous).
  7. Exterior air quality as denoted by a color scale. Ranges from green (good) to red (hazardous)

TEMPERATURE DIFFERENTIATION

The temperature selected via the climate control system is a perceived value. The system operates to achieve these selected values. The selected value does not represent the output temperature from the air vents. Air vent output temperature varies as the system automatically compensates the vent outputs to achieve the set temperature(s). The actual temperature in the cabin may differ from the set temperature(s) due to internal and external factors, including ambient temperature, sun load, and direction. The climate control system automatically adjusts the airflow level, direction and temperature to compensate for these internal and external factors. Automatic adjustments in the air vent outputs may result in some temperature differentiation within the cabin.
