LABEL LOCATIONS
Warning labels attached to your vehicle bearing this symbol mean: Do not touch or adjust components until you have read the relevant instructions in the handbook.
Labels showing this symbol indicate that the ignition system utilizes very high voltages. Do not touch any ignition components while the starter switch is switched on.
- Hood locking platform: Air Conditioning (A/C) label.
- Top of the battery: Battery warning symbols.
- The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is stamped onto a label. VIN and vehicle derivative specification is visible through the lowest part of the left side of the windscreen. The number is also stamped into the right-side suspension tower.

The VIN number may be requested by the retailer/authorized repairer.NOTES
The vehicle’s built-date is shown on the VIN plate. This is the calendar month and year in which the body and powertrain assemblies were conjoined and the vehicle was driven from the production line. The vehicle’s built-date is also shown on the tire pressure label attached to the right side B pillar. - Sun visor: Air bag label, vehicle handling label.
- Base of the B pillar: VIN certification label containing the certified vehicle weights.
- Base of B pillar, or inside base of front door: Tire pressure label and placard, air bag warning label.
- Mid-way up B pillar: Side air bag warning label.
- Inside fuel filler flap: Fuel label.
- Engine number:
3.0L gasoline: The number is located on the right-side camshaft cover.
3.0L diesel: The number is located on the front of the left-side camshaft cover.
It is important that you are familiar with these subjects, to make sure that your vehicle and its features are used safely.
