Fuses
Fuses are arranged in the fuse boxes located behind the side cover and right radiator cover. The main fuse is located under the seat. If a fuse fails during operation, inspect the electrical system to determine the cause, and then replace it with a new fuse of proper amperage. If the fuse fails repeatedly, there is something wrong with the electrical system. Have the motorcycle checked by an authorized Kawasaki dealer. The main fuse removal should be done by an authorized Kawasaki dealer.

To access the main fuse:
- Remove the seat (see the Seat section in the GENERAL INFORMATION chapter).
- Remove the rubber cover.

- Remove the starter relay from the battery case.
- Check the fuse.

- Install the starter relay and rubber cover.
- Install the seat (see the Seat section in the GENERAL INFORMATION chapter).
To access the fuse boxes behind the side cover:
- Remove the side cover (see the Seat section in the GENERAL INFORMATION chapter).
- Check the fuses.

To access the fuse boxes behind the right radiator cover: Remove the bolts and right radiator cover plate.

- Remove the bolt and washer.
- Remove the bolt and collar.
- Pull the right radiator cover outward to clear the projection.

Check the fuses.

Insert the projection on the right radiator cover into the grommet on the frame.

- Tighten the bolt with the collar.
- Tighten the bolt with a washer.

Install the right radiator cover plate and tighten the bolts.

WARNING
Substituting fuses can cause the wiring to overheat, catch fire and/or fail. Do not use any substitute for the standard fuse. Replace the blown fuse with a new one of the correct capacity, as specified on the fuse boxes and main fuse.
