Kawasaki Quick Shift (KQS)
KQS enables shifting gears up without operating the clutch lever. KQS is not designed for shifting automatically. Therefore, you must take the same shift pedal operation as with motorcycles not equipped with KQS.
NOTE
- The KQS system does not work while the clutch lever is being pulled.
- The KQS system does not work properly below approximately 2 500 r/min (rpm).
- Following any upshift, the shift pedal must be fully released before another shift with KQS can be made.
Upshifting
During acceleration, the KQS system allows you to upshift without operating the clutch and letting off the throttle.
NOTE
The upshifting function of the KQS system does not work when the throttle is closed.
KQS Mode Setting
- Close the throttle grip completely.
- Push the “SEL” button and hold it for 2 seconds or more. KQS mode shifts when releasing the “SEL” button.
- Flow when pushing the “SEL” button
NOTE
When changing the mode, stop the motorcycle.
