2022 Kawasaki NINJA ZX-10R Seats

Seat

The seats can be removed by in order of the passenger’s seat then the rider’s seat.

Passenger’s Seat Removal

• Insert the ignition key into the seat lock.
• Lift the front part of the passenger’s seat upward while turning the key clockwise.
• Remove the passenger’s seat for- ward.
• Remove the ignition key.

Passenger’s Seat Installation

• Insert the hook at the rear of the passenger’s seat into the slot in theframe.
• Insert the projections at the front of the passenger’s seat into the latch holes on the frame.
• Push down the front part of the passenger’s seat until the lock clicks.

Pull up the front and rear ends of the passenger’s seat to make sure they are securely locked.

Rider’s Seat Removal

• Remove the passenger’s seat or the pillion seat cover (see Passenger’s Seat Removal).
• Pull the rear part of the ænter seat cover upward to clear the bosses from the seat cover.
• Pull the rear part of the center seat cover upward to clear the projections from the grommets.
• Remove the center seat cover.

• Slide the seat lock bracket rightward to unlatch it.
• Slide the seat lock bracket foward to remove it.

1. Pull the rear part of the rider’s seat upward to clear the grommets from the projection parts.
2. Slide the rider’s seat backward to clear the hooks from the fuel tank bracket.Remove the rider’s seat.

Rider’s Seat Installation

• Insert the tabs of the rider’s seat under the seat cover.
• Insert the hooks of the rider’s seat under the fuel tank bracket.

Insert the grommets into the projection parts.

A. Grommets

• Insert the seat lock bracket into the projection parts.
• Slide the seat lock bracket leftward to latch it.
• Make sure that the seat lock bracket securely locked.

• Insert the projections of the center seat cover into the grommets.
• Insert the bosses of the center seat cover into the holes of the seat cover.
