KCMF assists the rider in tracing the intended line throughout the corner by monitoring the accurate chassis attitude information from the IMU (inertial measurement unit) and the engine parameters. This system oversees the following control systems: KTRC, KLCM, KEBC, and KIBS. In the straight road and the exit of the corner, KTRC and KLCM control the traction, wheelie, and/or sliding. While cornering, KIBS and KEBC control the pitching and braking.
Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)
The IMU measures the acceleration along longitudinal, transverse, and vertical axes, plus roll rate and pitch rate. In addition, the yaw rate is calculated using the above data by ECU. These six axes data are used for By analysis of the chassis attitude. By using the chassis attitude information, the electronic management technologies equipped with the vehicle can be controlled more smoothly.
