A brief break-in procedure must be carried out to obtain the proper operating clearances in the engine and transmission, which is necessary for per- performance and reliability.

WARNING
Cold tires do not provide good grip and may cause loss of control or a crash resulting in injury or death. To prevent loss of grip, use tire warmers to heat the tires before riding for an hour.

Break in the engine as follows

  1. Ride the vehicle for about 30 minutes within 4 000 r/min (rpm).
  2. Ride the vehicle for about 30 minutes within 6 000 r/min (rpm).
  3. Change the engine oil and the oil filter.
  4. After the break-in procedure has been properly carried out, ride the vehicle while gradually raising the engine speed, and confirming the vehicle’s state and the characteristic.
