To install the side stand, insert its flat end into the rear axle as shown.

WARNING
Riding with the side stand can cause a crash resulting in injury. Do not attempt to ride the motorcycle when the side stand is installed.
NOTE
Support the motorcycle with a suitable stand to perform maintenance or adjustment procedures.
KX450K
The motorcycle is equipped with a side stand.
- A. Side Stand
Do not sit on the motorcycle while it is on its side stand. Always kick the stand fully up before sitting on the motorcycle.
WARNING
Riding with the side stand down could cause an accident resulting in serious injury or death. Always be sure the side stand is fully raised before riding.
