Right Handlebar Switches

Starter Button

Refer to the Starting the Engine section in the HOW TO RIDE THE MOTORCYCLE chapter for starting instructions.

Engine Stop Switch

To stop the engine in an emergency, move the engine stop switch to the position. Ordinarily, the engine stop switch must be in the position for the motorcycle to operate.

NOTE

• Ordinarily, the ignition switch should be used to stop the engine.
• Although the engine stop switch stops the engine, it does not turn off all the electrical circuits and eventually, the battery will be discharged.
