General Lubrication
Lubricate the points shown below, with either motor Oil or regular grease, in accordance with the periodic Maintenance Chart or whenever the vehicle has been operated under wet or rainy conditions, and especially after using a high-pressure spray washer. Before lubricating, each part, clean off any rusty spots with rust remover and wipe off any grease, oil, dirt, or grime.
NOTE
A few drops of oil are effective in keeping bolts and nuts from rusting and sticking- This makes removal easier badly rusted nuts, bolts, etc., should be replaced with new ones-

HAZARD
Damaged control cables.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Corrosion can result when the outer covering of control cables becomes damaged. Cables can also become frayed or kinked. The operation of controls could be restricted, which could cause an accident or injury.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Inspect cables frequently. Replace damaged cables. Lubricate the inner cables and the cable ends. If the cables do not operate smoothly, ask the Kawasaki dealer to replace them.
Recommended lubricant:
Pressure cable luber or SAE LOW-40 motor oil
Brake lever lubrication
Lubricate the pivoting parts of the brake levers.
Recommended lubricant:
Lithium-soap-based grease (All-purpose grease) Knuckle shaft and rear fork shaft lubrication Lubricate the pivot points using a grease gun.
Recommended lubricant:
Lithium-soap-based grease
