This motorcycle has a spare FOB in addition to the primary FOB (portable key). If the primary FOB is lost, the spare FOB can be used as an emergency key. The spare FOB has the emergency ignition key (mechanical key) which should be inserted into the spare FOB. If the key knob is lost, etc, the ignition key can be used as the emergency key.

The spare FOB has the immobilizer function, but it does not have the KIPASS function. Therefore, when using the spare FOB, perform the following procedures. Fit the “Triangle Mark” corner of the spare FOB on the projection of the ignition switch so that the “Kawasaki” logo of the spare FOB faces the front, then the key knob can be operated after about 2 seconds when the key knob is pushed.
