Pre-fuse Box Location

Your vehicle has a pre-fuse box in the engine compartment attached to the positive battery post. This box contains several high current fuses. If replacement of these high current fuses is required, see an authorized dealer.

Engine Compartment Fuse Box

WARNING   WARNING:  Always disconnect the battery before servicing high current fuses.
WARNING   WARNING:  To reduce risk of electrical shock, always replace the cover to the power distribution box before reconnecting the battery or refilling fluid reservoirs.

The engine compartment fuse box has high-current fuses that protect your vehicle’s main electrical systems from overloads. When you disconnect and reconnect the battery, you need to reset some features.

Power Distribution Box – Bottom

There are fuses on the bottom of the fuse box. To access the bottom of the fuse box:

  1. Release the two latches on both sides of the fuse box.
  2. Raise the rear side of the fuse box from the cradle.
  1. Move the fuse box toward the rear side of the engine compartment and rotate as shown.
  2. Pivot the rear side of the fuse box to access the bottom side.
  3. Release the two latches to open the fuse cover.

Changing a Fuse

Fuses

WARNING   WARNING:  Always replace a fuse with one that has the specified amperage rating. Using a fuse with a higher amperage rating can cause severe wire damage and could start a fire.
