Odometer
The odometer shows the total distance. This meter cannot be reset.
NOTE
When the figures come to 999999, the display is stopped and locked.
Trip Meter
The trip meter shows the distance traveled since it was reset.
NOTE
When the trip meter reaches 9999.9 while riding, the meter resets to 0.0 and continues counting.
Lean Angle
This shows the lean angle of the vehicle. The more the vehicle leans, the larger the gauge.
Maximum Lean Angles
This shows the maximum lean angles of the vehicle by numerical value.
Tire Pressure
This shows the front and rear tire air pressure. This value is displayed when driving at 20 km/h (12 mph) or more.
NOTE
- The tire air pressure can be displayed up to 350 kPa (3.57 kgf/cm2, 51 psi).
- The tire pressure shown here may differ slightly from the actual value. If the displayed value is clearly different from measured by a hand tool, contact an authorized Kawasaki dealer.
- The value of the tire air pressure displayed in this meter may show a higher or lower value than the standard tire air pressure. When measuring the tire air pressure, refer to the Wheels section in the MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT chapter.
- The tire air pressure sensor has a radio wave. In the noisy area or high-intensity radio wave area, the tire air pressure may not display correctly.
Boost Pressure (%)
This shows the boost pressure of the intake air chamber by the percentage.
Boost Temperature
This shows the boost temperature of the intake air chamber.
Current Mileage
This shows the instantaneous rate of fuel consumption.
NOTE
After a few seconds of riding the numerical value is displayed.
Average Mileage
This shows the average rate of fuel consumption since it was reset.
NOTE
After a few seconds of riding the numerical value is displayed.
Cruising Range
This indicates the cruising range from the remaining fuel in the fuel tank.
NOTE
- When there is sufficient fuel, “(+)” appears next to the cruising range value.
- The cruising range value is no longer shown if the fuel level gets too low after the fuel level warning indicator starts blinking.
- To recover the cruising range display, add fuel to at least the level needed for the fuel level warning indicator to disappear. The cruising range valuemay still be displayed with a low fuel level, but it will not be accurate until enough fuel is added to stop the fuel level warning indicator from blinking.
Average Speed
This shows the average vehicle speed since it was reset.
Total Tim
This shows the amount of time that has elapsed while the ignition switch is turned on.
NOTE
When the figures come to 99:59, the display is stopped and locked.
Battery Voltage
This shows the current battery voltage.
NOTE
The battery voltage shown here may differ slightly from the actual valve. If the displayed value is clearly different from measured by a volt meter, contact an authorized Kawasaki dealer.
Fuel Gauge
The fuel level in the fuel tank is shown by the number of segments displayed between E (empty) and F (full).
NOTE
- When the fuel level warning indicator goes on, the fuel gauge (fuel symbol and last segment) blinks.
- Ifthe whole fuel gauge is blinking, the fuel level warning system has malfunctioned. Contact an authorized Kawasaki dealer.
KECS Preload Indicator
The current setting of KECS spring preload is shown. Refer to the KECS section in the HOW TO RIDE THE MOTORCYCLE chapter for more information.
Outside Temperature Meter
The outside temperature around the vehicle is shown. The outside temperature can be displayed from —200C (—40 F) to 60 oc (1400 F).
NOTE
The correct temperature may not be displayed when the outside temperature sensor gets wet, or the vehicle speed is 20 km/h (12 mph) or less. The reading of the outside tempera-ture meter does not increase when the speed is 20 km/h (12 mph) or less.
WARNING
If the outside temperature is 30C (37 OF) or below when the ignition key is turned on, the outside temperature meter changes to warning color and the warning message appears to warn the operator that roads may be icy. Check the road surface and ride carefully.
NOTE
- This waming display is cleared when the outside temperature rises to 40C (390F).
- The waming message on the upper column can be minimized by pushing the RESET button.
Connected Device Indicators
Various indicators appear in this area when your mobile device and/or helmet headset(s) is connected to the vehicle.
A. Mail Indicator
B. Helmet/Headset Connection Indicator
C. Mobile Device Connection Indicator
D. Battery Level Indicator
E. Signal Strength Indicator
Mail Indicator
When an SMS or MMS is received, this indicator appears.Helmet/Headset Connection Indicator
When your helmet(s) or headset(s) is connected to the vehicle, this indicator appears.
